Which mobility aids does Novamed supply?
Novamed S.R.L. supplies private customers with home care beds, folding and electric hoists, slings and transfer boards, with home delivery throughout Italy and technicians who also carry out work at home.
Caring for a person with reduced mobility means repeating the same movements every day: getting them out of bed, settling them in a wheelchair, helping them to the bathroom. The right equipment makes these transfers safer for the person being cared for and less tiring for the carer.
From our base in Villafranca Tirrena, in the province of Messina (Sicily), we support families from choosing the product through to maintenance. All the mobility aids in our catalogue are available to order and made to measure.

01.01.LIFTY4
Lifty 4 / 4E folding hoist
A passive hoist with a painted steel frame and folding structure, designed to move people with lower-limb limitations from bed to wheelchair or commode chair. On the standard version the base is opened with a pedal, on the Lifty 4E with an electric system.

Evolution hoist
Painted steel frame with a removable control unit on the mast, a 4-point spreader bar for an anti-slip sling, and a base with 4 swivel castors, braked on the two rear ones. The base legs are opened with a lever.

Universal sling with head support
Allows the patient to be transferred from sitting to lying and back again. The head support holds the back of the head and prevents incorrect movements of the neck.

Deluxe 300 sling without head support
Used with the hoist for transfers from sitting to lying. It is available in two versions, mesh or PVC, with a maximum load of 300 kg.
Toilet sling
Designed for transfers from wheelchair to toilet. It is made of waterproof PVC, has adjustable straps, comes in several sizes and has a maximum load of 200 kg.
Scangliss transfer boards
They allow the person to move from one surface to another, for example from bed to wheelchair, across a height difference of up to 15 cm and a gap of up to 20 cm. They are radiolucent and have two handles; the Lite models are made waterproof by high-frequency welding.

Home care bed
A bed for care at home
The K012 / EA-4M bed has 4 motors, 2 lockable wooden side rails, height adjustable from 51 to 90 cm and a backup battery that keeps it working during a power cut.
It is designed for people who spend many hours in bed and for those who look after them. The 4 ABS mattress platform sections are removable, the 125 mm central castors have a locking system, and the bed comes with an IV pole, a remote control for the user and a control panel for the carer. The Trendelenburg tilt ranges from 16° to 13°.
