The e-marketplace
What is MePA?
MePA is the Italian public administration e-marketplace: a digital market where public bodies across Italy buy goods and services offered only by qualified suppliers.
The marketplace is run by Consip, a joint-stock company owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), whose task is to rationalise public sector purchasing. Access is through the Acquisti in Rete PA portal.
Novamed S.R.L. is registered and qualified to trade on MePA, so the products in its catalogue can be ordered by hospitals, local health authorities and public bodies with no intermediate steps.

Medical equipment procurement: how to find Novamed products on MePA
There are two ways: search for the product by code or keyword using the "Cerca" (search) bar, or browse by product category and meta-product. In both cases the purchase is completed with a direct purchase order (Ordine diretto di acquisto, ODA).
Option 1: search by code or keyword
- Go to the Acquisti in Rete PA website and log in.
- Use the "Cerca" bar at the top right to search the MePA e-catalogue.
- If you know the item code, choose "codici del catalogo" (catalogue codes), enter the code and click "Avvia" (start).
- If you do not know the code, choose "catalogo" (catalogue), enter the product name or a keyword and click "Avvia".
- Select the product you need from the results.
- Proceed with the direct purchase order (ODA).
Option 2: search by product category
- Go to the Acquisti in Rete PA website and log in.
- Search the MePA e-catalogue by product type: each category groups the items with the technical attributes required by the relevant specification.
- Choose the category and meta-product. For example: "Arredi e complementi di arredo" (furniture and furnishings) and then "Carrelli emergenza" (emergency trolleys), or "Beni Specifici per la Sanità" (specific healthcare goods) and then "Defibrillatori esterni" (external defibrillators).
- Select the item you want.
- Proceed with the direct purchase order (ODA).
Other platforms
On which platforms is Novamed qualified?
In addition to MePA, Novamed is registered and qualified to trade on the SINTEL, EMPULIA and ETOSCANA platforms.
Public bodies that run their medical equipment procurement on these platforms rather than on MePA can therefore involve Novamed in their purchasing procedures. For any questions about item codes and availability, write to us before placing the order.

All products are available to order and made to measure, and are delivered to the door throughout Italy from our base in Villafranca Tirrena (Messina). Do I need the item code to order?
No. In the e-catalogue you can also search by product name, keyword or product category. If you need the code of one of our items, we can provide it on request.
How is medical equipment procurement on MePA completed?
With a direct purchase order (ODA), after selecting the item in the catalogue on the Acquisti in Rete PA portal.
Are orders also delivered outside Sicily?
Yes. Novamed S.R.L. delivers to the door throughout Italy from its base in Villafranca Tirrena (Messina).
